Table A - Field Data Format and Application Requirements

The following table lists field names, basic field format information, and indicates for which applications they are required and used.

  • # - Indicates the number of the system default order for each field in each row in your data file.

    Rows of fields can be entered in any order, though it is recommended that you keep this order.

  • Field Name - The name of each field.

  • Format - The format required to enter information into each field, whether text, numeric, or date field formats.

    The following characters are not allowed in the data file:

    "[]<>."&!?,"; ( )

    If any of these characters are present in the data file, the import fails.

    The backslash (\) character is allowed in the data source Third-party systems that provide data to the system, including employee and device states, and data change events. Typical data sources are phone switches, PBXs, or LANs. name fields. In all other fields, however, it is not allowed.

    If your organization is licensed for Quality Management, we recommend using up to 32 characters in total for the employee's last name, first name, middle initial, and suffix. If the character count exceeds 32 characters, the employee name in Quality Management Ad Hoc reports will be truncated. For double-byte languages, such as Chinese and Japanese, the character limit is reduced even more.

  • Framework & F&S, Framework Only, and F&S Only: The application or applications for which the field is used - for example, Framework Only - Framework Applications Server role in the Data Center that provides the system’s core applications. It is a mandatory server role in the system and required for all packages. only, Framework and F&S - Framework and Forecasting and Scheduling.
