Shift optimization list page

On this page, you can manage actions related to shift Work period in WFM that has a definite length. optimization rules. Shift optimization rules can be created for all request types.

You can do the following:

Access the rule form to create a rule or edit an existing rule.
Change the rule from active to inactive for an organization.
Delete a rule.

Column	Description
Apply	Indicates whether the shift optimization rule applies to an organization. When the checkbox is not selected, the rule is inactive.
Name	Name of the shift optimization rule. For example, Time_off_max_6_hours
Request Type	Identifies the request types to which the rule applies. Values include: Shift Request & Change Shift Bidding Shift Swap Time Off / Flex Time
Optimize	Indicates the type of shift events (working or non-working) that the system optimizes for the shift assignment: Optimize non-working shift events (breaks) only: If there are non-working shift events in the shift template, the system optimizes these shift events into the shift assignment. Optimize working shift events only: If there are working shift events in the shift template, the system optimizes these shift events into the shift assignment. Optimize both non-working and working shift event Time period in WFM when employees are scheduled for specific activities, other than the main shift activity. Shift events can either be productive or unproductive, and can be associated with activities such as Phone, Email, Break and Lunch.: If there are both working and non-working shift events in the shift template, the system optimizes all of these shift events in the shift assignment.
From, To	Indicates the range of the duration of the shift assignment to which the rule applies. For example, if From is 0:00 and To is 9:00, the rule applies if the shift assignment is a maximum of 9 hours long.
Shift	Shift template used for the placement of working and non-working shift events in the shift assignment.
Owner Organization	Organization to which the rule is assigned. Only users assigned to this organization can edit the rule.
Apply to sub-orgs	Indicates whether the rule applies to suborganizations and whether they can override the rule: Apply to this org only: Rule applies only to the selected organization, and not to its suborganizations. Apply to sub orgs (no overrides): Rule applies to the organization and its suborganizations. Users associated with the suborganizations cannot update the rule. Apply to sub orgs (allow overrides): Rule applies to the organization and its suborganizations. Users associated with the suborganizations can change whether the rule applies to their organization, but they cannot update it.
